Tuned Cores
We blend the proven strength, pop, and feel of Bamboo with only the highest quality composites. Mixing natural Bamboo with high-energy foams and vibration absorbing sidewalls creates a core tuned for maximum snap and feel. From the behind the boat session to the rail jam, we got a core tuned for your needs.
CNC Machined Cores
Perfection every time, with every board. Our engineers calculated the perfect specs to match core materials to the molds. Close tolerances create a lighter, snappier, and stronger board. Don’t be fooled, not all boards are the equal. CNC cores are the only way to go!
Sidewalls
We believe sandwich construction is absolutely the best way to produce a wakeboard. The key ingredient in sandwich-constructed boards is the Sidewall. Sidewalls add durability, strength, torsional stiffness, energy dispersion, liveliness, and feel to the board. Our Snowboard brothers have known this for decades, now it’s your turn. Whether it’s our seamless urethane Armor Walls, we’ve got you protected.
Individual Stainless Steel Inserts
Our Snowboarding brethren have known this is the only way to produce boards. Individually placed hex shaped inserts provide ultimate lock down. Other brands use stiff insert pucks, which are only held in place by a thin layer of fiberglass and resin. Our configuration places each insert behind our T.W.S, a layer of 19oz glass, which makes our insert incredibly tough but also allows the board to flex naturally.
Four-5 Insert Spacing
Using the Four-5 insert pattern means Versatility. Nowadays, standard boards are set up for 6in plate spacing that the Four-5 supports. What about those who use 8in bindings plates? We didn’t forget about you. Standard 6in spacing usually means only 1 stance option for 8in plates, but with the Four-5 system we added one extra insert to give you two stance options. In our book, two is usually better then one. Enjoy your options.

Holding ourselves to a higher standard, we craft our boards with Integrity and good old American know how. Innovation and keeping production at home assures performance and quality on every board produced. Phalanx didn’t invent the wakeboard we just brought them back home and made them better.
BOARD MATERIALS
Divincell PVC Foam: This Closed cell foam not only reduces weight, it also increases the strength of our boards. Our PVC foam makes our boards lighter, stronger, and snappier. Others skimp on quality foam, NOT US!
This Environmentally friendly Biodegradable closed cell foam not only reduces weight compared to traditional foams, it also increases the strength and liveliness of our boards. Since it’s biodegradable, it won’t harm the environment. Sounds like a winning combination to us.
Poly Foam
This USA made closed cell polyurethane foam block is perfect to use in our CNC machined cores. Durable, flexible, and still lightweight, Poly Foam can handle the abuse from any type of wake riding. Whether behind the boat to hitting rails, our Poly Foam is the perfect choice for our FR cores.
Bamboo
A wakeboard endures some abuse over the course of its life. Strength is always a factor when engineering a core. Traditionally, to gain strength you use denser materials sacrificing weight. With Bamboo at the core, there’s no sacrifice. Bamboo creates a lightweight core which is incredibly strong. The extremely dense cellular structure of the bamboo surpasses oak in flexibility and is superior to wood in terms of durability and rigidity. Lightweight, Yes! Strong, Yes! Flexible, Yes! Earth Friendly, Yes! Sign me up!
Tri-Axial Fiberglass
We engineered a custom coated Tri-Axial weave, 19oz, 0,90, 45….Tri-axial weave fiber glass provides optimal torsion rigidity with almost twice the strength to weight ratio and over five times the impact resistance as conventional woven cloths. What’s this mean for you? Hands down a better, stronger, livelier board.
STRINGERS
Targeted Wood Stringer: Vertically laminated Bamboo stringer runs tip to tail down the board spine. Engineered width and length creates a lively & snappy “POP”.
Curved Rail Stringer: Vertically laminated Curved Bamboo stringer placed at the rails increases liveliness and makes for a torsionally stiffer board. The less the board twists under edge hold, the more aggressive you can approach the wake. Ask any wakeboard coach and it’s all about edging. With C.R.S., you can edge harder and generate more “POP” off the wake using less energy then with a standard wakeboard.
M.R.S. (Mid-line rail Stringer)
Dual Horizontally laminated Bamboo stringers placed at the boards rails and mid-line, allows for a stiffer feel between the boots and quicker board response upon rider input. By Phalanx only placing stringers at the midsection, the tips remain flexible for more “Ollie” power, softer landings on kickers and pressed out fun on the rails.
SIDEWALLS
Seamless 90A Urethane Sidewalls offers maximum durability against impacts. It takes the energy created from the impact and it absorbs it. Perfect for rails and obstacles, our Armor walls are the top choice for Cable and Park Rats.
BASE MATERIALS
Built to take a punishment, our Eternal base is made from some of the strongest snowboard base material available: Durasurf. Made in the USA, Durasurf has tremendous abrasion resistance and strength. Making for an outstanding running surface for Cable and Park boards that are pounded by Rails and Kickers. Available on the PRK and C.R.A.P.P Boards.
The Infinite base can take a pounding. Our Infinite base will outlast and keep it’s good looks longer than most traditional wakeboard bases. Standard issue on our W-Series and FR-Series cores, the Infinite base is perfect for behind the boat sessions or a trip to the cable.
CORE CONFIGURATIONS
“W” (Wake)
Aka W-Series, the core is designed to make your boat sessions super rad. Using 100% CNC machined lightweight Divinycell PVC foam, combined with a vertically laminated Bamboo stringer. Our precisely engineered width and length TWS(Targeted Wood Stringer) runs down the board spine creating a consistent lively & snappy “POP”. This benefits your huge landings in the flats with reduced shock. Available in the C-Class and T-Class board shapes.
“FR” (Freeride)
The FR-Series is a Hybrid flex core-just stiff enough for wake-to-wake boat sessions and soft enough to kill it at the cable or park. The CNC Composite core utilizes durable USA made, PU foam block that’s been outfitted with our TWS(Targeted Wood Stringer) and our durable Armor walls. If there’s one core in the line that can do it all, this one is it. Available in the C-Class and T-Class board shapes.
“CR” (Cable Ready)
Our CR-Series ,aka Cable Ready Core, is designed and developed to excel at the Cable park. We CNC a composite blend of Armor Walls, Divincell , T.W.S., and M.R.S. Stringer systems to create the ultimate core for cable riders. This core gives you the perfect balance of stiffness in the mid-section and flexibility in the tips to generate “pop” and legit presses. Available in the PRK shapes.
C.R.A.P.P. Core (Cable, Rail and Park Project)
Oh no we didn’t! Yes we did! Unlike the name suggests, we actually created the most advanced core in wakeboarding to date. The C.R.A.P.P utilizes our most advanced materials and technology to do one thing and one thing only, kill it on rails. We team horizontally laminated 3-ply Bamboo with our High Density foam tips. We surround the core with our seamless Shield walls and cap it off with our Eternal base to make one tough board. We also took it one step further and engineered a hinged flex zone. If it’s legit nose and tail presses you’re after, then our C.R.A.P.P line is what you need. Accept no substitute. Some brands are marketing cheap throw it away rail boards- we’re making bombproof boards that will take your abuse and ask for more.
BOARD SHAPES
C-Class
Continuous Rocker shape is designed to excel under any rider in any condition. Smooth double concave hull with crisp profile creates a predictable hard charging wake machine. Drop the edge and we’ll see ya in the flats without the harsh, knee buckling pain.
T-Class
Three Stage Rocker shape is designed to have the best pop possible. A smooth single concave hull and larger center allow for the board to set up easily and have effortless pop for those massive tricks off the wake.
PRK-Class
The PRK aka the “Park” shape, is what our global team asked for in a cable friendly design. Aggressive rail channels that flow out the tips for complete edge hold. Complimenting the rail channels is a mellow double concave with deep V tips. The V shaped tips help with quick edging and aggressive hold for those hard charges in the corners and the mellow concave at the midsection creates a smooth snag free, solid feel on obstacles like kickers and rails.
C.R.A.P.P.
More then just a funny acronym it’s a statement. Cable, Rail and Park Project. When we started Phalanx we wanted to build boards for the core rider. Sometimes in our sport the rogue riders, the guys pushing the limits get forgotten about from other brands. Well, not with us. We wanted to produce a board that was for riders that winch a local pond, spend your summers hitting rails behind a PWC, or hitting up a System 2.0 park that seem to pop up every week. The C.R.A.P.P. is the ultimate rail board. Sidecut shape and mellow hull design gives riders a minimal swing weight, hard charging, smooth feel that’s 100% design for rail parks.
